LCSW and EMDR Certified Therapist for Adults in Colorado

Hi, I’m Erica

I help people break free from shame, connect, and rediscover their worth.

Life’s challenges—big or small—can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next step. Maybe you're carrying the weight of unresolved trauma, struggling with anxiety that seems to take over, or navigating a major life transition. Perhaps shame or patterns like people-pleasing and perfectionism are keeping you from fully living your life.

I understand how hard it can be to reach out for support, but taking that first step toward healing can also be the most empowering decision you’ll ever make. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, uncover your strengths, and work to create lasting change.

A Space Where You Can Feel Seen and Supported

I believe therapy works best when it’s rooted in compassion, acceptance, and genuine connection. You deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported—without judgment. In our work together, we’ll nurture that sense of belonging, not just with others but within yourself. I also encourage curiosity about your patterns, emotions, and experiences because that openness can lead to new insights and real growth.

MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

Healing is personal—therapy should be too.

I believe healing starts with connection—both to yourself and those around you. Together, we’ll build a space of trust and safety where you can process emotions, heal old wounds, and let go of what’s no longer serving you. Along the way, we’ll focus on strengthening your sense of self, deepening relationships, and using practical tools like mindfulness, grounding, and boundary-setting to help you move forward with clarity.

Therapeutic Tools I Use:

Attachment Theory: Understand how your past shapes your present.
▸ EMDR: Process trauma and release what feels stuck.
▸ Parts Work: Reconnect with all aspects of yourself.
▸ Psychodynamic Therapy: Recognize and shift unhelpful patterns.
▸ Mindfulness: Stay grounded and present.
▸ Somatic Practices: Calm and regulate your nervous system.
▸ CBT: Shift negative thought patterns.
▸ Emotion-Focused Therapy: Build emotional awareness and connection.

Me, Beyond the Therapist Chair

When I’m Outside of Work

The great outdoors is my refuge and, in particular, the mountains. The peace I find in nature while moving my body is addictive! So, several years ago I decided to make Colorado my home. Hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring new trails bring me so much joy. Still on my bucket list is to summit a 14’er (gotten close).

I’m also an avid reader (with a list that grows daily), a lover of music, and a budding photographer. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures while sampling the cuisine. At home, I’m usually curled up with a good book and my rescue cat, Daphne, trying a new recipe, or tackling a new DIY project. And I love spending time with family and friends, who keep me grounded and remind me what’s most important in life.

I’ve always been curious about the “whys” behind human emotions and behaviors. This curiosity, along with my own journey in therapy, led me to this work. I know what it’s like to sit in the client chair—to do the hard, rewarding work of healing—and that shapes how I show up for you.
